These are similar ah to what my Trojans are. Though ok they won't fit under your seat, but for a Ah = cost that isn't bad price for these. If you decided to house elsewhere internally!

woah, that's a beast. Wouldn't fancy trying to lift that into position at 50Kg.

Actually these are lighter then my trojans, which are 56KG together! (with my under seat battery I have about 300ah on board)!
At least with the Trojans you can split the lifting of them 28KG each. Lifting 50KG getting in the house would do me for the day!

Though my Trojans still going since 2010, they are not as powerful, as they once were, so may have to look at replacement in a few years.

I'm running 200 watts of solar. Some might think that a tadge over the top but not if you never use hookup and wild camp a lot

Cost me £50 - was just damned quick on ebay. Was less than a year old and only used to start a generator. It certainly packs a punch and solar panels keep up no sweat. This is why I tend to roll my eyes when people ask whats the biggest battery you can fit in behind the seat. Why bother? Make room elsewhere and when/if you have to replace it, the physical dimensions are irrelevant. Fit what you get the best deal on. Mine is under back seat. Otherwise you pay a premium for a battery to fit in a defined space.

I still have a 110ah battery spare as the one above replaced it..

I am going away on my first trip of 2017 next week. It will be interesting to see how the Trojans perform. They are almost 8 years old now and serving me well. If I had to replace the Trojans it would be now £300. I can get a 12V 220AH for £160 on EBAY, that is a massive difference in price!

Indeed. No brainer for me as I really like the camper toasty overnight using the Propex and a 110ah will only do a couple of nights (if that) without a full charge. The bigger capacity makes a massive difference and also keeps up with my lad with his notebook plugged in.. Would DEFINATELY invest in another when this one reaches the end of its life.

I also saw one on EBAY like yours Cov kid which was sealed. Never seen a sealed large leisure like that before. Though the sealed aspect does appeal to me. I wonder how reliable they are? Mind you I never had to top my Trojans up with Water ever!

I think if you look after them you can get 8+ years out of one. Possibly ten. My jury is out on desulphators but I bought one recently to hopefully keep batteries in good condition.

I have 2 of the below (Trojan T105) into a series connection 2x6v to make 12v.
Back then I paid much cheaper for them, be £300 now!
Also I still have my under seat leisure battery (though it's a Bosch S4 starter battery) helping the Trojans on power (if it is hardly any support power help), remains to be seen!

cheers nesty, cheapest on fleabay is £144.50, be good to know how they are doing after your trip, sounds like they have served you well so far Is there a reason for choosing 2 x 6v batteries over 1 x 12v battery?

Easier to carry if you have to - I have 2 x 12v Trojans in my Merc and they sure are heavy!

At the time believe it or not the Trojans were the cheapest option!
I then looked into one 12V leisure, which was more pricey.
Also the Trojans are 'Traction' not leisure. The Trojans should take far more abuse then one off EBAY currently. I think this is what you are paying the extra for.
