Sliding Windows or Slatted

As the title really. My van is Caravelle based and has sliding side windows at the kitchen area. I've picked up a slatted window with fly screens etc. but wondered if anyone had experience of both and could give some pro/cons.
E.g. I could see the slats being better if cooking inside on a wet day, but do they make more noise when on the move?

No experience of slatted but I can't image them sealing well.

If you ever camp when it's cold and windy any drafts are uncomfortable.

I hadn't thought about draughts when stationary - good point :ok

There are some felt strips between the slats, but I'm not convinced that they're up to much.
I've checked Ebay now too - they seem to go for a fair whack, £100 easy - so obviously popular. Will need to have a think about whether it would actually fit my Caravelle window openings, having found it on a converted panel.
