Hi,
Just got the silent gliss curtain rails for the van. I wondered if anyone is able to post a few photos regarding rail positions (height above side windows, over hang) etc.

Any hints tips to make the install easier would be much appreciated too.

Do you have curtains ,that mite help ,with the drop of curtains may determine where rail goes.

Yeah got curtains and have plenty of drop available and decent width to cover the windows. I just wondered if there was a known 'best practice' for rail length /placement or if it's a fit as you see fit.

Suppose it's a slightly easier query for positioning on the sliding door side as only 1 clear option.

pretty much same height above slider, across cab door runs over rear view mirror foot, same height all round.

Ah nice one, that helps. How far past does the rail go beyond the rear side window air vent?

If I get what you mean the side rail goes right to the back, easier to tie both side curtains back there as the slider curtain gets in the way of the rock n roll bed.

Ah, I need to do this job as well! How did you get the rail to curve around the cab without warping the track?

Also, what did you use to fix the rails in place?

mine was done by holdsworth!, its thin aluminium so easy to form by hand ( you can used objects like plant pots and paint tins to help give nice curves) but no sharp bends or you will pinch the extrusion and the gliders won't run past the pinch point. So at the windscreen to cab door corner give a gentle curve with a small gap behind not a sharp bend.

Screwed with small screws on a flange on the extrusion into the body.

I've just done the sides so far, was pretty easy once I bought some shorter better quality self tappers and cutting oil from toolstation.

Just setting on with the rear window, it's cut wider the top glass width with the intention to notch it the bend it down following the curve of the window surround.

I'll do the fronts last as they could end up looking pretty bad. I've seen a few examples the rails either side of the sun visors and rear view mirror. Gonna take my time and try to get it spot on.

Trickiest part so far is working out how many of the curtain hooks should be per curtain
