Any advice on how to would be appreciated.

How hard is it to read a reply to your own question?

eddioke wrote:I have seen an advert for a T25 with a 1.9 Passat TDI engine I have a 1.7 diesel t3 l also have a 2004 pzsat with a 1.9 TDI can it be transplanted?

As in The Passat TDI engine into the bus?
Aidan wrote:2004 will be too late a donor, you need I think pre 2001 type Tdi engines with the iron block codes AHU, 1Z ideally, PD can be done but it's really hard on the gearbox and for all TDi you really need to have the gearbox rebuilt with a lower final drive to reduce the revs or use the UN1 gearbox or a flipped Passat type inline gearbox there's lots of information online about all of this, a lot of it is poor, you can't just fit a golf or a Passat engine it's not that simple
but imho really you shouldn't run diesel engines they pollute worse than the exxon valdez, leave them in the tractors where they belong
