Can't get me wheels off!!!!!!

Finally got the starting problem resolved ( hopefully ! ) after fitting a new starter motor and an additional earth to the engine. Whilst doing this I found I couldn't budge the wheelnuts either on the wheel I wanted to remove or any of the others! Whoever has tightened them up must have bust a gut getting them that tight! Bought a heavy duty extendable wrench thingee from " Halfrauds " but still no go! Any ideas other than to go to a tyrefitter and ask if they can loosen them up?

you could try using a trolley jack and a bar ..
me i'd nip to a tyre fitter and ask them to wizz them off

scaffold pole slipped over the telescopic wrench should do the trick...
those telescopic wrenches stick out at a funny angle that stops you getting all the torque you provide to the wheel nuts, but extending them with something like a scaffold pole will do it, but if you want to torque em up right you'll need a torque wrench which can be got for less than 20 quid.

Use a six sided (impact type) socket to avoid damaging the fixings.

they've probably been overtightened with a pneumatic job at a garage. I have broken the socket on a telescopic after trying to undo these, invest in an "impact socket" they look black and are available from Halford individually for under £20. Saves a lot of hassle in the long run.

Took my Polo to a tyre fitter asking him to loosen things up.
He gave me the "wimp" look.
10 mins later, he was sweating slightly after trying his impact wrench and a 6 ft bar, getting me to stand on the brakes.
I thanked him, passed him a fiver, and grinned " tight werent they"

-go to Halfords & get a 19mm impact socket & a 2ft long breaker bar--20 odd quid in total--the nuts should be about 110 lbs ft I think-which is very tight--
