Central Locking for the Tailgate

Hi all.

Another request for layman help.

We had central locking fitted to our T25. The mechanism for the tailgate doesn't work now. The only way to open it is by crawling into the back and manually unlatching it which aside from being a pain, could also be dangerous. Not being savvy with these things, I'm not entirely sure where the issue lies. I've attached a few photos if anyone has any ideas how to fix it? When you attach the top pin into the white plastic cap but this pops out every time you use the central locking key. I could be wrong but it looks as though the lower pin has snapped?

Anyway, all advice gratefully received.
Dan

Its looks like a common aftermarket actuator motor but with original central lock and motor holder.
Check the motor by connecting directly to battery, change if needed they cheap. Or if the motor is good, then trace the wiring for cracks.
