hi everyone my clutch slave cylinder is leaking gearbox end and basicly had no clutch today.so followed the wiki and soaked the various nuts/bolts and got them all loose.the 2 nuts at the end of the plastic pipe underneath the van i have got them moving but as i try and back them off the plastic pipe starts to turn aswell, shouldnt the larger nut back off from the other nut on a thread?so i have soaked that nut in wd40 again.also the nut and bolts that hold the slave cylinder on are quite awkward to get at. am i best to take the bracket on the back of gearbox bolt/nut and the one on the side and then take it off from the bracket while it is off the van, cheers dave :ok

Evening, did mine the other year and just had to replace the already knackered boot-20 months old (in situ') tonight.
When i did mine i gave the nuts a good soak in plusgas beforehand. I had to take the slave off with the metal pipe still attached because the nut was a right git to undo under the van. Soon came off when i had it on a workbench. Yes the two bolts that hold the slave to the bracket are a bit fiddly but with a bit of perseverance they will come undone, you could always split the nut off. Don't know about taking the bracket off-sorry. Someone who does will be along soon.
David.

Just remove the plastic pipe from the cylinder. If the nut on the pipe twists the pipe, just turn the cylinder instead once you have removed the mounting bolts.
