Ok i just replaced the heater plug relay due to it burning out. There was dirt in the fuel line which starved the engine of fuel i was grinding at the engine to start and burnt out the relay. Now after fitting a replacement the heater plug relay is keeping the plugs switched on heating all the time...any ideas as the what could be causing this?

Is it a Topran brand relay, or VW?

Is there a difference?...the relay that was removed was Topran and I then fitted a vw one from just campers...
Is it possible to acquire a new electrical box with fittings inside?..thats the box that houses the relay.Mine has let damp in ,wires and fittings got rotted and was smoking a little when I was turning engine over .that's why I need to replace the plug relay

How long after starting are you waiting to test they have switched off?
The glow plugs stay on after the light has gone out iirc they stay on for around 30 seconds, you would need to check the specs for the relay you have to get the exact time.

The glow plug plug relay is not switching off atoll its staying on ..I will check the glow plug temp sensor
Can the electrical box be purchased new if I need to replace it ,or will I need to look for a decent used one?
