Would a door handle described as for a right hand sliding door work on a door on a left side door? And any suggestions as to how to get the grub screw out of the lock barrel? Assuming I can't unscrew it, if I drill it out will the lock barrel come out?

Works the opposite way so a bit confusing when locking/unlocking. Put some penetrating fluid on grub screw and clean all the dirt out of the screw slot before trying to undo.
