Looking for seat advice.

Hi to all,

My name is Colin, Im a print finisher for a digital print company in Stoke-on-Trent. More importantly my ride - a lovely 89, 1.9cc Autohomes hightop, that is a dream to drive.

Im looking to (as a lot of people have done) swap out my stock seats for a set of captain seats.
I was hoping some one might have advice about runner width and length (if important)? Fitting tips and anything else useful to know.

Im hoping to get something that can go straight in, but i understand that could be difficult. Practically speaking, im a have a go type but in my case it mostly goes wrong.

Thanks for any and all advice shared.

Colin

Find a pair of original vw T3 captains seats, they will be a straight swap , no need to do any modifying . The later ones have adjustable armrests.

Hi Rob.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately gone dark grey on interior. Slate look vinyl flooring in living area. New black carpeting for cab. This all fits in beautifully with the red respray.

Thanks again though.

I'm in your spot right now. Looking for an upgrade. I've researched the T25 Caravelle seats, the most luxurious ones I believe with armrests and all. But the price is ridiculous and unless you want to keep it original, go for the T4 seats. More comfort, way more cheap and available, easy to fit. Have a look here and read the whole 4 pages: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewto ... ovan+seats" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Like with a lot of T3 stuff nowadays,be prepared to pay through the nose.
