Tomtom Soft reset.

Just posting this in case anybody else was unaware of this. Had a problem with my TomTom not switching on. Had a look on the internet to see about buying a replacement but I also read something about a 'Soft Reset' . So, reaching for the Viagra I continued reading. it seems you hold the on/off button down for around 30 seconds until you hear a 'drum beat' and then you are up and running again. Saved me from buying a new satnav.
Hope this helps someone.

Yes, my battery went flat too and I think that's what caused the problem!

I had similar problem with mine yesterday, I think it was down to being left in the car overnight and the battery getting too cold and going dead.
It did not want to recharge in the car, it was only when I charged it at home from a mains charger did it recover and work. Must keep in doors in cold weather from now on.

You get the same problem with Kindle readers.
