Air filter looks like its ill, its been ill for a while ... crushed and clogged up ... needs to go!

Can i put it back to standard ? Has my Carb been replaced to fit this thing ? The engine cover has been battered into a new shape to make it fit

You will have to buy a pair of original twin carbs first ! Treat yourself to a Haynes workshop manual, the green one is for Aircooled, it has diagrams and photos of original set up.

Stay as it is then ...

It looks like a K & N type filter which should be washed and then sprayed with special oil before refitting. Almost any car accessory shop should stock the cleaner and oil.
