Power inverters for fridges

Has anybody got any advice on what inverter i should buy for my 72w 3 way fridge. I am assuming i will get away with a 100w and as long as it has an auto low battery cut off everything will be dandy. Yes/no Anybody know the best place to buy one? Cheers

why?
if it is a 3 way then it will run on 12v in any case...
running an inverter is very ineficient, the 12v battery will be flat in no time....

Even if your inverter was 100% efficient. you would be looking at 6A.
A typical battery would give 40Ahr. So 40/6 = 6.7 hr.
Now an inverter wont be 100% efficient and your battery wont discharge completely. I'd expect you to get about 4 1/2 hours.

Chiz most peoples fridges work on 12v only when the engines running/or at least enroute to your campsite where you would change to gas or 240v if you have electric hookup. mine has a switch on the dash, after selecting the appropriate setting on the fridge I just flick the switch on the dash, it only works when the engine is running cos it works of the car battery and not the leisure one. TBH i think the 12v is a waste of time if the food is cold enough when you set out ,6 hours later it will still be cold enough thanks to the insulating property of the fridge, especially with a couple of ice packs and keeping door opening to a minimum, hope this helps

dont waste your money!
As has been said, the 12v section of the fridge should NOT connected to the leisure battery anyway.......
