Underslung Eberspacher..

Hello,
Well, while the good weather is still with us, I have started my project.. underslung Eberspacher.
I have an Aircooled tin top van, and so storage space is limited..
To fit an Eberspacher requires a 'buddy seat' solution, plus the heater..
Just to make things that bit more difficult, the eber I have is a B1 diesel model, running on 24 volts..
Like this:

So, as I shall be obliged to have a buddy box, then it will have to do several things..
Double as a captains chair.. ie a seat facing the rear..house the new leisure battery.. house the electronics, including future solar hook up..
store the diesel fuel inside the vehicle so that I can fill normally at the petrol station.. hold the fire extinguisher for ready access..
Have the fuel, battery and mains electricity shut offs to hand and so on..
and all this out of the scrap box and a squeaky tight budget...
So here is the first mock up..
and so , as it is December.. bad light.. but beautiful sunset stops play..
Ex HM forces will recognise my choice of tin box for the heater..
The original idea was to fit all the components in the box and graft the heater tube into the existing air heater hose, avoiding a hole in the floor,
but there is not the access.
So, having made my decision.. its out with the Monodex cutter and airsaw..
Whilst the Hammerite cures..
a little Landrover welding to pass the time..
Ho Hum.. another "pooh" sunset in Paradise..
As I'm not going to pass the heater into the existing system.. there will have to be modifications and..
A hole in the floor...
The moment of truth..
As the standard air hose is 60 mm ID, I have decided to use 80 mm pvc waste plumbing to carry the tube, fuel and electricity, to protect from wet and impact.
The jar lid is just the right size for the mock up..
and copies through to the underside..
Now I can start to plan where everything goes..
I want to be able to reach the switches from the driver’s seat, and control air to the front or rear..
That's it 'till after Xmas..
Have a good one......
Cordialement,
