Exhaust rubber mounts

Hi all, quick question. I had to replace my silencer on the exhaust during the summer as it had cracked beyond repair. Got all the gear and got the new one all setup no bother. About 3 months later the exhaust mount rubber (http://www.justkampers.com/033-251-393- ... -1992.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) on the tailpipe side sheared away but I managed to just bolt the exhaust to the triangular mount and all was good again. Until this very cold morning when driving along the left hand rubber mount sheared (the side by the downpipe) and all of a sudden my exhaust was dragging along the road. So instead of being on the way to work I was on my knees in the mud try to take the silencer off completely :D

Anyway my question is I can't remember if I bought the rubber mounts off Brickwerks or Just Kampers. I also don't have 100 pounds to spend on two of Brickwerks reinforced mounts, so before I go and order the same two rubber mounts again is there any other alternatives or options? don't want to be replacing these things every few months.

Cheers for any suggestions.

I've had to replace the rubber mounts a few times over the last 12 years ( the 6 quid ones )
Just make sure that the mounts aren't stressed!

I would email Brickwerks with your concerns, they may well be able to clear up the doubt.
I doubt Simon would even stock the just krap version

I've bought mounts from JK, GSF, and BW and none have lasted more than a couple of years. I did modify the bracketry as the 1.9 engine is slightly taller and stressed the mounts as Dave Friday points out. I now carry a couple of spares, but it has definitely been better since de-stressing the mounts. You have to keep all three up to scratch, as once one fails the others don't last long.

I've only had to replace the two that fit onto the exhaust mounting plates!
