GEC2001 Coolant?

Hello, this is my first post since joining so I hope I've posted in the right place.

I've got a water-cooled DF 1.9 petrol in my van and I've just had the head gasket and water seals replaced.
I did mention to the garage that I believed that a specific type of coolant was required to prevent the head bolts rusting and they seemed to be aware of this as they do a lot of work on VW campers.
When I checked my bill the coolant used is called GEC2001, is this the correct type or at least has the same properties as the G12 stuff that seems to be the norm on other topics on the site?

Thanks in advance :ok

All WBX were supplied with the pink stuff: OAT (Organic Acid Technology). It's the corrosion inhibitors in this which don't mix with those in the non-OAT antifreezes. The only way to tell whether an antifreeze is OAT or not is to read the label. If it doesn't mention OAT, then it isn't OAT.

In future I would be supplying your garage with your own parts and fluids, then you will know it's right

use Brickwerks for your quality parts

If it's this one then it's definitely not OAT
just cheap crap

You really need to read the label.
Hence my suggestion of supplying your own stuff
