hi folks , I am in the process of parts gathering for a full rebuild of my ,80 devon t25 . although I am pretty genned up on all things electrical , I have a question .
is 1.5 mm section round 3 core cable sufficient to provide power to camper 240 v fridge and sockets etc , bearing in mind the highest current draw will be a kettle ??
I have loads of the stuff , but am not too sure I am prob answering my own question as I intended to use 2.5 mm round cable .
the original fridge cable appears to be 1.5 mm but has been repaired and bodged together so will get replaced what ever .

Yes, it will be fine

1.5mm is good for around 19 Amps, a kettle is usually only 3Kw max = aprox 12 Amps

Well interestingly 16 amps is the usual max rating of a UK mains hookup so 1.5mm round over a short run will be fine...trouble is, and this is only a remote possibility, if you connect up to a higher amperage source then decide to plug in a 2KW blow heater when boiling that kettle.
