Should also point out that i think my engine is not a JX as it has the extra oil way for the hydraulic tappets and i know the previous owner changed the engine. But it does have the JX pump on it.

The CY engine is effectively the same engine as the JX (see here), with installation differences to suit its use in Audi and VW cars of the period.

However the pump in that ad obviously has a different LDA fitted than the one on a standard JX pump, which I understand was unique to the T25 in order to ensure it fitted under the engine compartment lid, so while it is likely to be compatible with the engine it may or may not fit in the engine bay.

An extra oilway and hydraulic tappets suggest that you may have an SB engine fitted?

Hi boxer what engine do you have in yours then

Posting some pictures will help identify what engine you have.

I believe its from a golf so a hydraulic tappet 1.6td but with the original jx pump.
