Steering wheel rotated 90 degrees clockwise??

I removed the bolts holding my steering column a while ago. When i drove it after refitting it, my steering wheel was 90 degrees out (when the van was going straight). I'm not 100% sure if the two are related, but it's certainly puzzling me. The stalk switches are still where they are supposed to be, it's just the wheel that's out.

How could this have happened?

Can the wheel be re-positioned when the whole steering column is undone?
Have I just "hulked" it out of position when turning the wheel?
Is there a bolt undone/missing that I should be aware of?

Make sure the wheels are straight, take off the horn push, undo the big nut underneath it, pull the steering wheel off the spline, rotate it, replace on spline, reattach nut and test drive - it may need undoing and rotating slightly on the spline to get it right, then replace the horn push. 5 minute job.
