Our automatic gear box failed when in Spain this year. :shock: . Is being repaired but we need to source a thrust washer 010323291B
does anyone know how to get hold of this? or, which parts could be used instead? i see that later parts have dropped the B, would this part be compatible?

our van is a 1985 T25 water cooled 1.9litre engine petrol. (and now lpg too) :P

010323291B was superseded by 010323291 http://vagpartsdb.com/genuine-part/0103 ... asher.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; So it will fit.Other vehicles it fits...http://vagpartsdb.com/genuine-part/0103 ... asher.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Good luck with your search as all outlets seem to show its no longer available.There is a box for sale in the classified section.Not cheap though. :shock:

Thanks Rob... great to get your input.

its good to know the version without a B fits.. I searched and searched but no avail, then my guy whose mending it says he's had a machinist make a new piece out of brass! he says this should do just fine..! he lives and dreams auto gear boxes so i trust him...
makes me realise though that these vehicles aren't so easy to keep on the road as i'd thought.

Because they don't use the forum properly?

Sometimes because they don't realise they can give back.....
