Replacement bearing carrier to swing arm bolts?

I have to swap my hub and bearing carrier over to a replacement swing arm, but looking at the state of the bolts holding the bearing carrier to the arm, I'd rather not re-use them unless I have to.

Is this (https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/type25- ... -t25-80-92) my only option or would any 30mm M14 bolt be suitable? Or would I be better with high tensile or stainless?

Thanks

David

Hi, you are correct, any high tensile (10.9) will be suitable. Biickwerks sell them for £2.40 each. search for VW part number N0101213. Do not use stainless bolts for suspension as they are not strong enough unless specifically made for a particular application!

Hope this helps

They're massive and as long as the flats are not rounded off will always do the job. Forget the torque but nothing crazy. A drop of loctite might be wise.
Main thing as always is both mating surfaces are clean and flat without burrs so carrier pulls down nicely
