My hightop T25 will be spending the winter months parked outside on my driveway. Looking to purchase a cover and was wondering if anyone covers there van during winter and can offer any decent recomendations on what experience they have/having with covers. Thanks in advance.

Hi Ady,

To be honest I wouldn't use a cover over the winter as the van will hold moisture and not be able to breathe (despite what the manufacturers say). A cover is great in the summer months to avoid paint fade and tree sap etc) but I'd be inclined to give it a good clean and polish and just keep it parked up as normal.

I couldn't agree more. :ok

If you want to protect the van use carnuba wax
This is found in all top detailing makes.
Auto glym ( high def ) colinite etc
It's not cheap but applied once it will last 6 months, and the rain will bead and run off.
If you wash the van use a shampoo not detergent.
And top it up with a silicone detailing spray.
No cover means the van can dry and air naturally
Oh and don't be tempted to leave half a ton of cat litter in to soak up moisture
These vans are so full of holes the litter will be trying to dry the entire planets atmosphere

I'm not a fan of complete covers for the same reason as Kev but; We're trying half and half this Winter. It's the first Winter we've SORNED the van and where we park it is under some trees (a lot of trees) so it gets covered in carp from the trees and animals. The roof is a right sod to clean. So what we did was buy a biggish 4x4 cover that only comes down to the door handles. The idea is to keep the worst of the carp off but allow ventilation. That's the theory any way. Can still get in the van through the sliding door if I need to.
