100m of 10mm and 16mm cable, less than £10 each. I'm hoping they won't decide they are out of stock while they re-price it. Should help with re-doing some of my main wiring.

Only good for your house/factory - it is single core not multi-strand. Useless in vehicle applications. It is meant for switchgear and the like.

But...

No. of Max Strands x Strand Size:126 x 0.4mm

Does that not mean multi strand?

Single strand by the pics on the links but multi strand looking at manufacturers specs! I stand corrected
In which case they are bargains. Decimal point in the wrong place I should think.

So useable to upgrade my wiring then I hope? Van currently standing enjoying the weather, displaying enough reluctance to start for my better half to start saying we should sell it as it is useless. I've ordered new 35mm wire for the starter and to reinstate a battery-body earth cable (costing more than those two 100m reels put together!) and then I can use a 16mm feed to the front, and a 10mm feed to the trigger. Then if my starting woes are fixed I'll have just enough left over to do .... well, anything I want really!

I have just changed my starter motor cable on my boat 70mm² is what I had to use! Only 2.5 litre diesel.

I'm new to T25s but here is a snippet of information I can give.
I think the decimal point is correct .04 is referring to the diameter.
From this you would be able to get the radius and using pye calculate the cross sectional area.
Multiply the result by the number of strands (126) to arrive at 16 MM squared

Thanks for that :D The maths I learnt x no of years ago has wasted away in my brain, and although I remember life r2 I wasn't about to do the cumulative area.

However the decimal point OBG refers to is in the price, hence the title of this thread. This stuff is generally around £5 a meter, and the link was to 100m for less than £10. 8)

I'm so sorry, mine reads as despatched yesterday.

However, I do know of a chap who will shortly have some stock and can, for a very reasonable consideration, sell you the required length  I'll even gift wrap it with a wee spray of perfume, like my wife does when selling second hand clothes on eBay. Now you can't say fairer than that!

I am surprised that they honoured that - what a saving. :P
