Will petrol alternator fit a JX?
Wouldt a 1991 Golf GTI engine alternator fit my JX 1.6TD ? if not could it be modded easily enough?

Not done it myself but my understanding is they are very similar, the only issue is that your diesel alternator is also responsible for the rev counter signal, which is something that will be missing on the one off the GTI.
