2lt a/c in a T2

ummmm cough......not for me you understand...
does anyone know if you can put the flat 4 2 lt ac in a type 2?
Mate has one with a siezed engine, and we have an engine....

wot is the orginal engine? 1.6 or 2ltr?

T25 engine is same as only the very last year of T2.. the tinware will be different from a T25 to a T2, so finding the right tin might be the issue.. unless they have the correct tinware or the t25 tin can be made to fit (lots of cutting I would imagine)
Of course, you have to make sure the seal works too, as recirculating hot air doesnt cool the engine..

A twin engined T2? Bet that was fast for a Bay!
Sorry Ginge, coudn't resist that joke.

T2's were fitted with various sizes of a/c engines over the years:- 1600, ?1700?, 1800 & 2000. The 1700/1800cc ones were the original Type 4 engine ('The Suitcase Engine') from the 411/412 Fastback & Variant from 1968-75.
