Hi All
I am Quite new here and I was hoping someone could help with a issue I have ?
My VW T25 California 1989 the Fuse keeps going ( The Switch next to the rear seat ) when plugged into the main power
This normally happens more often in warm weather than cold....
Has this happened to anyone else ? Do I need a new fuse or is it something else ?
If it is the fuse where do I find the fuse that needs replacing ?
Any help is appreciated

Do you mean the trip switch?
If so, then there is a fault in your 240V electrics somewhere. It could be anything that's 'live', so to start with, turn all 240V appliances off (including the 'fridge), and turn them on one by one to see what is causing the unit to trip.

Hi
Thanks for the reply
Yep its the Trip switch and 99% Sure it is the fridge as that is normally the only thing running when the switch goes...
Presuming the fridge is running too high due to the hot weather but this never used to happen ??

Well, then there isn't a fuse to replace. The trip switch acts like a fuse, but there's nothing to replace - just re-set the switch.
You will need to make sure it's the 'fridge that's the problem.
Can you run it on gas instead of electric and see if the RCD panel still trips?
Some vans have chargers for their 12V batteries that run off the mains. Does yours?
Apart from the wiring, there's not much else that gets power from the mains to cause a short.
The RCD unit may have a fault, but that's unlikely.

The fridge on a California unplugs .. look into the cupboard under the sink, back left, its a euro style plug that just pulls out...the mains fridge element may have gone bad.
