Any one know if vactan can be let down with anything for extra seeping ability?
I know its fairly thin to start off with but it would be great to just pour in to some areas and let gravity do its thing.

It's water based, so thinning with water may improve seepage slightly. They thin it a bit for spraying on surfaces.
Surfaces need to have loose rust, oils and salts removed. So you might be better off hosing the area down first, letting it dry, then apply the Vactan and get the prayer mat out.
Anything is better than nothing I guess.

cheers for that. Thought as much but thought I'd ask. It just seems a bit counterintuitive pouring water all be it mixed where you dont want water.
I'll get pouring then.I can't seperate every seam just in case, and something has got be better than nothing!

With seams, you can blow it in by using a straw, but unless you're getting to the back too, Vactan (or any other rust converter) won't stop rust reappearing.

We all know its lurking in pretty much every spot welded seam on our vans, largely where the factory zinc coating was blown by the welding process. I'm mainly thinking about the rear crossmember which on mine is relatively sound but with surface rust on the inside and prone to collecting damp crap and areas like in front of the rear arch at sill level where you could slosh it in a bit. If it can get in there vactan will convert and encapsulate any rust. Its either that or thinned heated waxoil type stuff.
