leisure battery wiring options

Hit a slight snag with camper electrics. The recommended wire from the 160amp sterling via 200amp shunt / fuse / master switch on to leisure battery is 35mm2 copper battery wire. The problem is in the small box I've built and attached all these components on its really hard to route the inter connecting 35mm2 wire. One because some of the wiring runs are literally only 5 or so inches with a ring terminal needed at each end. So I'm wondering how many 16mm2 strands make the equivalent of 35mm2 as this would be more flexible and be much easier to terminate???

Any help much appreciated

Good lord, and crikey, are you installing this in a T25, or a small cruise liner?
