Front To rear stainless coolant pipes

Im just about to replace my front to back coolant pipes with stainless from brickwerks any tips or advice to make it easier fuel tank removal. Etc any replys welceome thankyou. Jon

I did the job without lowering the fuel tank. Bit of a fiddle waggling the pipes past the tank. Otherwise it's fairly straightforward. The most difficult part was working out which bit of pipe went where. Take a note of which hose from the radiator goes to which pipe.

The new ones come in 2 sections for each of the replacements, so you will have 4x shorter sections of steel pipes rather than the 2x longer onesyou take out..
Easiest way is to take the old ones out - noting which is the feed and which is the return - lay them on the floor and arrange the new ones next to each one next to them. That way you can't get them mixed up.
Next tip is to make sure you note which position the feed and returns are. i.e. which is closer the outside of the van, and which is closer the inside.
Lastly, I couldn't get the new ones in without dropping the tank as they kept getting caught on bits strapped up to the underside of the van, or hitting the top of the tank. One goes in fine, but the second wasn't playing for me. You may have more luck.

Not as bad as it sounds. Try Colin's method first - you may have more luck than me.
You won't need to take it right out, just drain the fuel, undo the two bolts and lower it enough if you have to ( making sure you don't break off the breather hoses etc )
Be careful of the wire for the fuel level sender too - mine had ample slack, but not sure if that is just mine.
Also when pushing back up into position, be careful not to trap the breather hoses between the tank edge and the chassis.
Try Colin's method first but don't waste all morning trying to wiggle them through like I did. If they are still not in place after 15 mins, cut your losses and drop the tank a few inches.
