After a 4 hour journey I stopped at a campsite and after a few hours the fan suddenly came on and hasn't stopped after 3 hours?? Any ideas hay my problem is? Am alone on a deserted campsite and nervous the battery will die. All advice appreciated! Thanks

You don't say the age of your van, but if it is a later one with blade fuses, then the far left fuse (fuse1) in the fuse box (below dash on nearside) is for the radiator fan, taking it out should stop it.

Probably faulty fan switch. Remove the front grill and try to find the switch. I think it's about 3/4 of the way down on the right hand side of the radiator. Pull a wire out to stop it & replace the fan switch ASAP. If you can't find a replacement soon & the temperature creeps up (usually only in standing traffic), turn up the heating & it should cool down, but keep you're eye on the temp gauge,

When the dust settles you may wish to fit a battery isolator. This way if anything untoward like this happens in future you can just diss the battery and work it out at your own pace. I wouldn't be without one.

Plus if you stash it somewhere out of the way you can make it very difficult for someone to make off in your pride and joy.
