Hi All,
Currently on holiday near Alton Towers so no access to garage, tools etc. Suffering from intermittent clunking from centre of the van pretty much directly under the front seats, during turning.
A quick look through previous topics suggests looking at the bushes tomorrow when it stops raining.
Will a worn bush be obvious to a visual inspection?
Is there a T25 friendly garage near here or would worn bush get me home (200 miles) next weekend?

Could be those inner, lower control arm bushes (dead centre of vehicle) where the front suspension arms bolt to the chassis. Mine makes the same noise and needs swapping out. Often neglected. A visual clue is marks on the chassis due to bush being worn out and it making contact. Certainly makes a clunk. Have a nose anyway.

Its also one of those bushes that really does benefit from powerflex ones, even if I'm not a fan of fitting them everywhere. Getting the old ones out can be a pig but fitting replacement powerflex ones is a breeze, so I'd say the extra cost of two-part powerflex ones works out cheaper when you factor in the hassle and time required to press in stock ones. I think Eurocarparts (or GSF) do them for £44 the pair. You should get home on them OK, if thats what it is but do get under and check nothing is adrift. Could also be droplinks as the sound can travel. Again, you should be OK driving home.
