All hail Brickwerks. But at the end of the day, skf are a global brand than can be picked up from any engineering supplies, hence my question about where else people source them from. If I go onto BW webshop I'll spend a fortune that a, I don't want to b, improbably need to c, I haven't the time to fit the additional parts d, etc etc etc. Sometimes you can have too much of a good thing :ok

Heard of lots of people saving a few quid only to have them last a year.

You need all the bits in the kit.

Yep, heard that too. Saving pennies has never been one of my objectives when it comes to the van!!

As much as I enjoy working on the van, I don't plan on bearing changes being done with the same frequency as oil changes, thus, budget parts are always avoided :ok .

My point was: 'Brickwerks' philosophy of using all the parts they sell in their 'own' workshop i.e Tried & tested so buy from this seller! obviously the same bearings can also be purchased from other (possibly cheaper) suppliers. I wasn't actually recommending Febi ... they don't make bearings, like Meyle/Topran etc, just source, re-badge & box, so you don't actually know who has made them although there must be some quality control attached to putting their name to them.
SKF/FAG/Timken actually make bearings! :ok

Of course by that same statement, I know that I trust Brickwerks and their judgement is that Febi (budget) is decent enough that they sell them...sooooo
