Parking camera wiring

My wireless parking camera has stopped working. The wireless transmitter that is located in the engine bay [takes it's power from the back lights] has packed up. Instead of buying a replacement i'm just going to run a video cable all the way from the camera located next to my rear number plate, to the LCD screen located on my dashboard.

So my question is - where is the best spot to route this cable from underneath the van and up through the dashboard ?

I plan to route the wire underneath the van [cable tie all along the underside] and ideally have a spot to push through into the workings of the dashboard and then out to the LCD display.

As I haven't routed any wires into the van from outside before, wondered if anyone had any advice or have done a similar job in the past. Would be great if I didn't have to remove the whole dashboard to do this.

Any suggestions / help would be much appreciated, as I was thinking of tackling this job on Sunday.

Just follow the original wiring loom.

Either that or the long route - back of the dash (ie behind headlights and wherever you can clip it out the way underneath). Best in terms of reliability though (and drier) is to run it inside and find a route to camera when you get to back. Depends where camera is I suppose.

That is the way the original loom runs.
