I have seen them on the back of large motor homes. Very expensive though. My Enduro bike is 110 kg and I lift it onto a rack front wheel first before taking a deep breath and then lifting the rear end up. Not too difficult initially but after 5 hours solid racing it feels like a 2 tonne weight, an extra person makes for light work.

I have had a carrier on the back of my syncro for taking my Yamaha RS200 (132Kg) to the Isle of Man TT races for three years now. Mine is a professionally made carrier but not a recognised make, robust and heavy, with a ramp so that you can stand at the side of the bike and drive it up under engine power and it has proven ideal. The whole thing is mounted on a Witter towbar, fitted by the two bolts that would otherwise mount the towball. My Yamaha is heavier than the Cub but of course the Syncro has the advantage of heaving a lot of weight at the front due to the added transmission and so there is no noticeable effect on steering and handling. Armitage make a very similar rack with a ramp in aluminium but it is very expensive.

Hi all,
Just reading this. What is the weight limit (nose weight??) on the towbar? I thought it was 75kg from memory. Is the 132kg RS200 + carrier not too heavy?

Evening, a few examples on here
