Annoying oil leak - dumb question!

Hi
I've had a very small oil leak since I got the van.
I changed the pulley side oil seal last weekend as it seemed to be the obvious source of the leak but unfortunately it didn't cure the issue.
It seems to becoming from around the oil filter area but that all looks good and I had the leak before I last changed the filter.
I read about maybe the oil pressure switch being prone to leaking but I've just had a look (all be it at dusk) and the switch on the side of the crank case looks fine and away from the main leak area. Is there another switch further up around the oil filter area? If there is i'm going blind......

Any other suggestions? It's not a big leak but annoying and I want to sort it.

Cheers All

P.S 1988 Komet with 1.9DG engine....that would help I guess :-)

I take it the switch you did look at is the one nestled between the push rod tubes and hidden behind the tin shield?

The other one is well hidden between the water pump and the main belt pulley. It is hard to see and if it does ever need replacing, quite tricky to get a spanner on, though it can be done without removing pulleys. One easy way to find it is trace the brown wire that is connected to it.

Well I'm buggered if I can find if......No wire to trace even. However, I've actually narrowed it down I think to the oil pressure relief valve. Is this common?

I see it has a crush washer so it might just be that needs changing but the valve and Spring seem cheap enough so I will get the lot. Surprised to see Brickwerks don't stock though so will have to use VW heritage
