oil leak near high-pressure sender

I've got a 1990 1.9DG which had a slight oil leak. It looked like it was a problem with the high-pressure sender switch which I have just replaced. When I put the new sender unit in I also gave it a good coat of instant gasket.
The oil leak hasn't gone away. I notice that the sender sits on top of, what looks like, another bolt.
I have just found a good photo of said switch on the forum:

How tight should this bolt be? Should this other "bolt" have a gasket? Would it be the right thing to use instant gasket on this bolt too?
Thanks for any help.

It should have a M16 id alloy washer. Neither should need instant gasket. The switch is a self sealing taper thread and the alloy washer should seal the reducing union.

Thanks for the reply.
I have just taken the "bolt" out and it doesn't have a washer. I've never taken out this bolt before but I haven't had the camper since new so it could have been, ahem, altered. Are these type of washers readily available? I've had a look at Brickwerks and JK and didn't find anything.

They are just standard aluminium washers M16x20x1.5

OK, thanks.
The "alloy" bit had thrown me as the ones on Ebay are described as just aluminium.
I have stuck the bolt back in with some instant gasket and it seems to be holding, no leak. I will replace when the washer arrives in the post.

The 'bolt' is an adaptor to reduce the hole down to an M10x1 thread or 1/8NPT if you have a tapered one. The Adaptor can use an alloy washer or as I have used a dowty washer which had a bonded rubber inner seal, a really good tight dowty is best. The 1/8 NPT sender thread should self seal as said above but again if you have aleak another nicely fitting smaller dowty washer will seal it. These are used alot in Hydraulic systems and do make a good medium pressure seal.
