Hi all.
a few weeks ago had the T25 running like a dream. New battery, starter motor, all leads and plugs. Started on the first turn of the key. Left it on my drive for a couple of weeks went to start it just keeps on turning over without firing into life.... any ideas on what it could be. Have I flooded it with pressing on accelerator. If so how do you clear it. Or is it something someone else has experienced.

Hi, I had this problem a few years ago on my old Aircooled camper. Happened at a services so had the rac out. After a lot of faffing , he spotted by chance a small hole in the fuel line, the bigger braided bit that went onto the fuel pump. Turned out it was sucking air in. Quick mod and it fired up.

I had this, it was the fuel pump, as in it wasn't getting fuel up to the carb. It's an easy fix if this is the problem. Good luck

ooops just re read your post, if you flooded it, it is unlikely to be the fuel pump, back to the drawing board sorry

Have you flooded it? unless we were there to see how long you turned it over/ pumped accelerator who can say. Am assuming it's petrol engine then. If it were me I'd stick an old spark plug in the end of an HT lead and earth body of plug onto engine and check for spark while someone turns engine on starter. If spark present remome air cleaner, pour teaspoon of petrol down carb and try starting to see if it fires. Then you'll know if it's fuel or ignition thats prob.

I had turned over loads with pressing of accelerator. Have taken the plugs out gave them a clean. Checked for a spark which there is..

After turning over & removing the plugs, were they wet or dry?

refit plugs, teaspoonfull of petrol down carb and if it then attempts to fire when turned on starter it looks like a fuel prob. Maybe you could rig up a temporary gravity feed with a very small ammount of fuel...carefully. This is assuming its a carb engine. A publishing of engine type would be helpfull

Check you haven't got any damp in you dizzy cap and that all the leads are seated securely.
