Saab Seat Help Please

So a while ago I bought these Saab Seats from a local ebay seller who assured me they would go into a T25.
I have finally been looking to fit these but I was planning to follow a guide online (since removed typically) which showed how to widen the runners, however I can see no way that even widening would make mine fit the VW base runners.
Is it easy to drill out the spot welds for the VW base runners so I can weld the Saab ones down?

Alternatively I could purchase another VW swivel base like the one I have for the NS, weld that in and bolt my new seat runners to that so at least they are removable.
The only issues seems to be that adds a fair bit of height overall:
Could I cut out the base runners and weld in the swivel base to the chassis (Number 2) which is about an inch lower or is it too low then and the swivel plate will foul the surrounding metal when turned around?
Looks like someone has cut a section out the back of my swivel base to allow for battery clearance? And also done a neat job of removing the runners!

That's what I hope to do, only issue is the saab runners are narrower and I hope I have clearance for the bolts. I'll let you know

OK So I managed to drill the base runners out for the Drivers Side as that side would be too high with the runners in and the height adjuster.
The passenger side I will be welding a lip to the cut out VW swivel base and bolting it the the passenger base runners (
not cutting those out as the swivel would be too low then and foul the surrounding area).
So my next step is to bolt these seats down.
Firstly the Driver side:
What length M8 bolts would you recommend? 30mm?
Washer width?
Nylock Nuts be ok?
Will the bolts going through to the wheel need welding to the metal or OK to just tighten normally?
Passenger seat / swivel base:
Will standard nylock nuts for M8 bolts fit OK to secure the swivel to the base runners? or should I use normal nuts?
Thanks for any help

I'm sure I used 30mm bolts with spreader plates where I could get them to fit and nylocs, I used as big a washer possible on the ones without the spreader plates.

yep 30 mm bolts ,, nylocs always good ,,,
penny washers stainless if you can get them locally there cheap too (but not as name suggests a penny but you should get about ten for a quid )

Washers below and above the seat base? Or just under the bolt head?

The bolts I used had a small washer as part of the head, I think a small 8mm will fit in the runner then the big penny ones in the wheel house side.
On the inside runner you will only have enough room for an ordinary small washer.
