Pseudo Ignition 12V

Today while my leisure batt was disconnect I noticed my voltage sensing split charge relay was powering devices as the engine started.
It occured to me you could add a voltage sensing split charge relay anywhere to get ignition 12V from a permanet 12V supply. :D

Thinking extra lights, car cams etc...
Anything you are worried will drain your battery if left on like stereo.

Obvously this is no good for ignition coil... chicken and egg :roll:

Not really, unless your relay in totally adjustable as make and break voltages are generally too high. Some are adjustable but I don't think by very much...
The popular Durite 140 amp relay, makes at 13.3 volts and breaks at 12.8 volt...both above 'standing' battery voltage.
