Dash indicator light always on

Strange one - my indicators work fine but the green light on the dash is constantly on. Not bright, in fact very faint but still it's getting some current from somewhere. Ideas anyone? Cheers.

If you have a wiring diagram it's easier to explain. I believe that the dash board power supply voltage (dashboard plug T14/8) is higher than the indicator signal (T14/10). This means the dash is earthing through the indicator circuit, giving the faint glow . In fact both terminals should be the same voltage - the potential difference would be 0 and the LED wouldn't glow. The problem may be the ignition switch as this should be wired (black wire) directly to the dash board.

Very likely the flasher unit has been changed for a non standard type & that is causing the glow. It won't cause any problems.

Interesting - I did change the relay some time back for a generic Halfords one. I suspect that might be the problem then.

Or try an original flasher relay first! ☺
