I'm wondering if there is an off the shelf electronic module you can buy which would prevent you from over-draining your leisure battery?

I'm thinking of something which would detect that your battery voltage had reached say 12.2 volts and then cut the circuit to prevent you from damaging the battery.

I use powerguard on my vans: (lots of devices available, look for LVD- low voltage disconnect modules)

They're just perfect for those nights when you've got a strong hand during a game of cards and....click, blackness.

If it does that, remember to shout "Quick, give us a shilling for the meter". Its amazing how many reach for their pockets - I kid you not.

Don't forget that it is easy enough to use one of the cheap ones with a small relay to switch a larger relay to suit your power. One of mine has a 150A relay (handy when running the microwave off an inverter) the other is a 110 or 120A.

The one I use (off eBay for about £12) has both normally open and normally closed relays, so I have it wired to sound a buzzer to warn me when the battery is below a (user pre-set) voltage. In turn the buzzer has little switch to silence it so I can watch the end of a film or whatever in piece before killing the drain on the battery.
