Have you used either of these companies? (London/Essex)

Hello,

Has anyone used either of these two companies before?..

The VW Engine Company (based in London)
http://thevwenginecompany.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Elite Engines (based in Essex)
http://elite-engines.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've heard good things about The VW Engine Company, but not heard anything specifically about 'Elite Engines'. They were previously called 'Elite VW'.

Guess what... The company I haven't heard of seem to be a lot cheaper... (I know, I know...).

1900cc VW T25 DG water cooled engine (re-con)
VW Engine Company - £1,595 plus £250 fitting (all plus VAT)
Elite Engines - £950 plus £300 fitting (not VAT registered, so no VAT)

I'm fully aware you usually get what you pay for. But, it's worth asking the question..

Thank you :)

Put both companies into the 'Search' option above and you will find discussions about both.

Elite? (shudder). I have vague memory of someone in Greenwich being recommended. If you're still mobile and have AA or the like in case of breakdown and can wait I'd go for gasure or campershack. They'll do a good job
