Hi, I'm having an issue with my air cooled 1.6

I filled up with petrol last week and within half an hour my van started to loose power. I am convinced I may have water in fuel. As it was raining sideways and I drove through some large puddles.
I replaced pump, filter, distributed cap and rotar arm. Still lost power.
I have no facilities to drain fuel tank yet but noticed that pump isn't drawing fuel through very well. Checked all pipes and connections.
Any ideas before I give up and part with cash at mechanics?

Can't help with your problem but if you E D I T your thread title to include 1.6 Aircooled then it might catch the attention of saran or big herb. Extremely knowledgable guys when it comes to Aircooled engines

Water will find the lowest point in the tank.
Was there any water in the fuel filter when you changed it?

Put a bottle of Wynn's Dry Fuel in the tank. If there's water in there it'll sort it. Then sort your breather pipes and filler neck to the tank.
