Removing windows

My 1.9 dg has rust scabbing all round the windows of my van. I'm presuming that this was caused by a previous owner cutting Windows into the panels of the van and not priming or zinc coating the steel before fitting the Windows.

My question is how easy is it to patch up the window holes and restore it back to a panel van apart from the sliding door window? I'm planning on putting furniture over one of the Windows and the rust will need cutting out and patching up anyway so would it be that much more difficult to patch the whole window?

Here are some photos of the offending rust.

You can buy complete panels which will do it but they're quite pricey. Cutting out the rust and welding on a custom piece to fill the whole aperture would be another option but you're going to need to be pretty skilled to get a near perfect result.

Yes I did look at buying complete panels but at £495 each its far too pricey! I'd imagine it would be easier getting a skilled welder to do the job!

Anyone know of a capable welder?
