Oil upgrade?

I have a syncro 1,9 DG wbx. sounds and runs sweet as a nut, but oil pressure, especially when hot, is a worry. Max on starting (hot summer) is just under 4bar, and runs around just over 2bar when cruising at 3200 rpm. The 2000rpm/80C (oil temp) figure is 20 psi (whatever that is in bar). Pressure skips up smartly with revs, but on a long run, dropping to mway slip road speeds, it drops to an alarming sub-1bar
i know it's an old engine, high mileage (112k) and the oil pump is probably original, but I'm seeking strategies to keep it running sweetly until noises in the rear demand a rebuild.
Can you fit an oil cooler to this engine?
Is a different oil grade an option, say a mineral(seems to be favourite according to wiki)20/50, or the expensive but much-lauded Mobil 10/60.

Oil-pressure remote takeoff is between the pushrods.

It,s not everyday transport. Strictly a leisure vehicle so only clocking around 3k/year.

My figures are about the same as yours, I use Morris 20/50 mineral and have done or years, if you can find a TFM near you it costs about £12 a gallon.

Thanks, Shepster. Yours is the only reply!
I was considering the Halfords 20/50 'cos it's readily available locally.

I notice the same pressure issues arise after only a few minutes, four or five miles driving, when the oil temp needle is hardly off the stop, but the drop is down to 1bar. Very confused!

All contributions welcome!

BTW, where's the oil pressure relief valve?
