Hi All,

I have an Autosleeper hightop but am missing the ladder that used to function as a barrier to stop things falling from the bunk-bed area when you stop and the kids falling out the bunk-bed! My DIY solution is about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. As soon as you go over a bump it jumps out of its brackets.

Has anyone else got a suggestion? Or perhaps a picture of the original ladder so I can reconstruct something similar?

Id use a cot bed side. I've got one if you can pick it up.

Works great as guard for my toddler and a luggage guard when travelling.

I was just about to start a thread for the same problem. I have a Sheldon High Top so maybe not got the height clearance of an Auto sleeper.

Have you secured the horizontal bit? I'm concerned that, during heavy braking, any load will fly fowards forcing the guard out.

During transit we will usually just carry bedding (including a mattress topper and with that and the weight of the mattress's its all secure and not going anywhere.

When used as a bed guard I hang the metal plate down between the bed floors so it's secure against the ceiling. From memory I think I had to shorten the webbing so there was no slack but a quick job.

I picked up a cot guard from Dad (earlier thread) last night similar to the one in the link from Amazon. I think that will be perfect.
