Just wanna say that I fitted a product called Dead Mat that I bought from eBay around my engine bay and it has made a massive difference to the noise. I did it myself. and saved about 50% compared to noise killer.

Anyway happy with myself so thought I would shout about it.

Should have called this thread Noise reduction

I've used silent coat and have to say the improvement is well worth the cost. Are you insulating too?

I've got plenty that I can put up later tonight.

I will buy some more to do the front. 5mX0.5 only just covered the engine bay. Want to do the front cab. The guy also advised me to put a square (as opposed to completely cover) on each panel to help take out the rattles. I will insulate with their another product with is like a 22mm foam with foil on both sides.

I will take some photos tomorrow.

Have to order new gas struts and belows for my moon raker roof

Damned rear engine layout! Can't hear the blasted thing. Had to fit a rev counter so I know when to change gear. And there are you lot trying to make it worse!

Wow Citizen my engine isn't that smooth

No idea why but when trying to upload pics from photobucket I'm getting a message in red text, something about pixels!

I've also got more with the insulation in place if interested. Bizarre that photobucket should decide to play up one minute and then fine the next.
