Finding the offset on Merc alloys

A while back i got some Merc ML alloys off of ebay and i'm now trying to fit them. Trouble is that even after cleaning them up i am totally unable to find the wheel information stamped into any of the wheel surfaces. They still have tyres on them so i haven't been able check under the rim but surely they wouldn't have stamped them in there. Is there some standard place that this information has been put?

Failing that is there a way to measure the offset with any degree of accuracy?

Cheers

Dave
