Leaky Sump plug

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help?
My van has had a previous sump repair(not during my ownership), whereby the sump was re-tapped and a timesert inserted. The problem is that the hole has been drilled slightly off centre, resulting in the plug not sealing. It wasn't a problem the last few oil changes, but since the last I've had no end of trouble trying to stop it dripping.
I ended up having a helicoil specialist company remove the timesert and attempt to correct it with a helicoil. They've ended up making it worse and are refusing to see the van again, saying it's due to "slight imperfections" in the casing.
I ended up taking it to a garage where they confirmed the plug was still not sealing properly due to it not sitting straight. They tried various washers to no avail and ended up fitting the plug and using gasket sealant. They suggested it could be re-tapped a larger size to accommodate a larger plug and correct it?
Does anyone know anybody who could undertake such a job, or make any other suggestions? I live in Bristol. I'm getting reluctant to take it somewhere and have it bodged further. It's not leaking at all now, but I'm thinking I should probably get it sorted. It's a 1.9 dg petrol. Thanks in advance.
