Does anyone have a spare petrol cap for a 1979 2.0 air cooled. I don't know of they changed then at all over the years. I have left mine today in lyme Regis and we are in Bournemouth. I could just do with one as a temporary measure as I should hopefully have mins back next weekend as my brother is staying a few miles from lyme Regis for the week. Just wondered if anyone local to bournemouyh might have one I could borrow for the week or happy to buy one if preferred. I just need to make water tight.one other thing does anyone know if a 1.4 beetle cap would be the same?

amazon might be a bit slow.. could always try a petrol station 1st, they normally have emergency ones for sales. Just the type that push on.

Some one else suggested a push on one as a temporary. It's supposed to rain tonight/ tommorow so amazon not really an option.
Don't think the beetle ones fit. I've checked vw heritage and they don't seem to match. Looking like its guna be gaffa tape for tonight.
